FAMILY SUPPORT CENTRE

Hailsham Youth Service’s Family Support Centre provides a safe, welcoming space where young people and families can access practical help and emotional support. At the heart of the centre is a team of qualified, accredited counsellors who offer confidential mental health and wellbeing support for young people.

Referrals can be made to ensure individuals receive the right level of care at the right time, helping them build resilience and navigate challenges with confidence.

Alongside this, the centre runs dedicated family support sessions for parents and carers, offering guidance, understanding and a space to talk through concerns. These sessions are delivered from The Manse, located next to the Station Youth Centre and creating a calm and supportive environment for families to connect and find solutions together.

Hailsham Youth Service works in partnership with local services to provide a holistic approach to support. This includes collaboration with NHS sexual health services, offering advice and access to specialist care, as well as the ability to refer families to the local foodbank when additional practical support is needed.

The centre also partners with Time-To Talk mediation services. This offers accessible, self-referral support for individuals experiencing relationship challenges, including those between young people and their parents or carers. Mediation provides a constructive space to improve communication, rebuild trust and strengthen relationships.

Together, these services aim to support the wellbeing of young people and families across the community, ensuring no one has to face difficulties alone.
