Hailsham Pet Cemetery

A tranquil resting place for our cherished companions…

Hailsham Pet Cemetery is a new, lovingly maintained space offering a peaceful and dignified final resting place for small domestic pets – including cats and dogs – who have brought joy, comfort and unconditional love into our lives.

We recognise that the bond between humans and animals is profound. Pets are confidants, playmates, protectors and family. Their passing leaves a space that words cannot fill.

Our Pet Cemetery provides a place where that love can be honoured, and their memory preserved in a setting of natural beauty and quiet reflection.

What we provide…

For a one-time fee of £99, the Town Council offers a complete and compassionate service that includes:

  • A dedicated burial plot for pet ashes, measuring approximately 12 inches by 12 inches
  • Plot preparation and interment by our experienced Council cemetery staff
  • A vase for flowers, allowing families to leave tributes throughout the year
  • A commemorative certificate, marking your pet’s final resting place with dignity

A second pet may be interred in the same plot for an additional fee of £99.

Families wishing to add a small marker/memorial plaque showing a pet’s name and date of death may do so at their own expense. Size restrictions apply.

A thoughtful and respectful environment…

The Pet Cemetery is designed to be a place of serenity. Carefully landscaped and maintained, it blends seamlessly with the surrounding memorial gardens, offering a tranquil space for remembrance.

We kindly ask that no additional decorative items, toys or ornaments be placed on plots. This ensures a uniform and dignified appearance for all visitors and families.

Supporting the local community…

The Pet Cemetery is more than a service – it’s a heartfelt commitment to our community.

By offering a local option for pet memorials, we help families avoid the emotional and financial strain of travelling to distant facilities.

This space provides:

  • Comfort and reassurance during a time of loss
  • A local, accessible site for remembrance
  • A peaceful environment for reflection and healing

Whether visiting on anniversaries, birthdays or quiet afternoons, families can return to a place that feels familiar and close to home.
