Mayor of Hailsham Opens New Salon in Town Centre

Town Mayor Councillor Paul Holbrook took part in the recent opening of a hair salon in Hailsham town centre yesterday [1 December].

The Mayor was joined by new proprietor Wendy Anderson to declare HuckleBerry Hair Salon officially open for business [from 2nd December] and was among a small number of people at a socially distanced event to explore the new salon located at 8 High Street.

HuckleBerry Hair Salon offers expert skills and the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s haircuts, in addition to professional hair colouring services hair care and styling to suit your customer’s requirements.

“It’s a great honour to have the Cllr Holbrook come down and open HuckleBerry Hair Salon for us. After the unprecedented year we’ve all had, today is a very special day,” said proprietor Wendy Anderson who was delighted that the Town Mayor was able to formally open the new shop.

During the past few years, the town centre has welcomed a range of new businesses, including those which have expanded and subsequently relocated to larger premises and retail spaces.

HuckleBerry Hair Salon is one of several new businesses which have opened in Hailsham town centre in recent months, including Hailsham Barbers in the High Street, Sweet Tooth in Market Square, 847847 Taxis in George Street, Flowers By Maybugs in Vicarage Field and Happy Paws in St Mary’s Walk.

Town Mayor Cllr Paul Holbrook, who cut the ribbon at the official opening said: “I am delighted to have been asked to open the new salon and it’s wonderful to see enterprising people continue to set up businesses in our town, despite the pandemic. We have an increasingly vibrant town centre and the opening of HuckleBerry Hair Salon is a great addition.”
