If you are a resident of the Hailsham Civil Parish and you are a British, Irish, Commonwealth or European Union citizen receiving a pension from another country, we can provide a stamp on your ‘Proof of Life’ form to confirm your residency in the UK.
How to apply:
In the first instance, you will need to contact Hailsham Town Council to make an appointment to come into the council offices in Market Street, by emailing enquiries@hailsham-tc.gov.uk or calling 01323 841702.
Each person named on the ‘Proof of Life’ form will need to attend the appointment and bring the following documents:
- The ‘Proof of Life’ form
- A valid passport or driver’s licence. Alternatively, a bus pass or other form of photo ID will suffuce
You will also need to bring one of the following to prove your address:
- A council tax bill dated no more than 1 year before the date of your appointment
- A utility bill dated no more than 3 months before the date of your appointment
- A bank/building society statement or passbook dated no more than 1 month before the date of your appointment
Currently, there is no fee for this service. Please note that foreign pension verification rules are strict and must be followed exactly. There is no flexibility under any circumstances.
