Hailsham Town Council is encouraging residents, local organisations and community partners to stay up to date with its latest news, activities and projects by following its official social media platforms.
With an increasing focus on digital communication, the Council continues to expand its online presence to ensure information is shared quickly, clearly and in ways that are accessible to a wide audience. Through its social media channels, followers can keep informed about upcoming events, Council initiatives, community projects and important local updates.
Residents can follow the Town Council on the following platforms:
The Council’s newest platform, TikTok, is currently in the early stages of development and residents are invited to follow the account now and be part of its growth as new content is introduced.
By engaging with the Council online, residents not only gain access to timely and relevant information, but also have the opportunity to interact, share feedback and take a more active role in community life. The initiative forms part of the Council’s wider commitment to improving communication and strengthening links with the community it serves.
Corporate Services Manager Karen Giddings emphasised the importance of digital engagement: “Social media plays a key role in how we connect with residents today. We want our channels to reflect the energy, diversity and strong community spirit that makes Hailsham such a special place. By sharing updates in formats people are familiar with, we can reach a broader audience and help ensure residents feel informed and involved.”
She added: “I would encourage everyone to follow our accounts, share our posts and engage with the content. By doing so, you’re helping us build stronger connections across the town and celebrate the many positive things happening within our community.”
