Hailsham Town Council is pleased to announce an ongoing initiative designed to support and promote the valuable work carried out by non-profit organisations serving the local community.
Community groups, voluntary associations, sports clubs, societies and registered charities operating within Hailsham are invited to take advantage of a free promotional opportunity through the Town Council’s established communications network. The initiative aims to increase awareness of the wide range of services, activities and support available to residents, while helping organisations broaden their reach and strengthen community engagement.
Eligible organisations that provide services or activities of benefit to local residents may submit their details for inclusion in the ‘Community & Residents’ section of the Town Council’s official website (hailsham-tc.gov.uk). In addition, information will be displayed on the Town Council’s public noticeboards situated in Vicarage Field and at the Town Council offices in Market Street, ensuring visibility both online and within key town centre locations.
By offering this service free of charge, the Town Council hopes to encourage greater participation in community life and support the continued growth and sustainability of local groups.
Corporate Services Manager, Karen Giddings, commented: “Hailsham is fortunate to have a diverse and active voluntary sector, with many organisations providing essential services, social opportunities and support to residents of all ages. Through this initiative, we are pleased to offer free publicity that may help groups attract new members, volunteers and supporters.”
“In addition to listing organisations on our website and noticeboards, we are also able to establish direct links from the Town Council website to an organisation’s own website or key social media page where applicable, further enhancing their online presence. We would strongly encourage any eligible organisation that is not currently listed to submit their details and make full use of this opportunity.”
Organisations wishing to participate are invited to provide a brief description of their group or charity, outlining its purpose, activities and meeting details, together with relevant contact information.
For further information, call 01323 841702 during normal office hours, or submit details by email to the Town Council offices: enquiries@hailsham-tc.gov.uk.
