Hailsham Town Council is reminding residents, local businesses and community groups that its Fleur de Lys Meeting Room and Members’ Room, located at the Council offices in Market Street, are available for hire.
Both rooms offer flexible, clean and welcoming spaces suitable for a wide range of activities, from one-off events to regular meetings.
The Fleur de Lys Meeting Room is ideal for social clubs, toddler and pre-school groups, craft exhibitions, training sessions, business meetings, public consultations and seminars. Comfortably accommodating up to 30 people, the room layout can be adapted to meet specific needs. It features tables and chairs, a fully fitted kitchen with cutlery, crockery, kettle and fridge, toilet facilities and free Wi-Fi. Access is via the garden entrance at the rear of the Town Council building.
For smaller gatherings, the Members’ Room provides a quiet and professional setting for up to 10 people, perfect for one-to-one discussions, committee meetings or corporate sessions. This room also offers free Wi-Fi and toilet access, with entry via the front of the Council offices.
Tony Lee, Operations and Facilities Manager at Hailsham Town Council, said: “The Fleur de Lys Meeting Room and Members’ Room are centrally located, affordable and offer free parking – making them ideal for community groups, charities and local businesses alike. The recent refurbishment of the historic Grade II listed Inglenook building means both rooms are bright, clean and welcoming spaces for all kinds of activities.”
He added: “Whether you’re planning a training session, a craft exhibition, a playgroup, or simply need a quiet space for interviews or meetings, our meeting rooms provide a convenient and cost-effective solution in the heart of Hailsham.”
Both rooms are available at competitive rates for community organisations and private users.
