Hailsham Youth Service, dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through accessible and engaging activities, is inviting local businesses to join its corporate sponsorship programme. The initiative aims to strengthen community ties while ensuring the continuation of vital youth services in the town.

Since 2010, one of the Service’s key initiatives – the Friday Night Project – has provided a safe, fun and stimulating environment for young people on Friday evenings. Activities have ranged from dry-slope skiing and pottery glazing to ten-pin bowling, trampolining, crafts, cooking and a variety of team sports.

Delivered in partnership with organisations such as Knockhatch and Freedom Leisure, the Friday Night Project has grown significantly in popularity and scope. Each session is eagerly anticipated by local youth and designed to inspire, engage and support their development.

To expand these offerings and meet growing demand, Hailsham Youth Service is seeking corporate sponsors to support the Friday Night Project and similar programmes. Partnering businesses will not only play a key role in sustaining and developing youth services but also receive public recognition across the Service’s promotional platforms.

“Hailsham Youth Service plays an essential role in giving young people a positive outlet, reducing antisocial behaviour and fostering a stronger community,” said Joel Cottingham, Deputy Youth Service Manager. “Our sponsorship programme allows businesses to make a real difference while demonstrating their commitment to the future of Hailsham.”

“Our outings are designed to challenge and inspire. Every activity gives young people new skills, boosts their confidence and helps combat boredom. We welcome businesses that share our vision to partner with us and support these transformative experiences.”

The Youth Service is managed and primarily funded by Hailsham Town Council but also operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC) – enabling it to accept private sector funding to support its expanding range of youth activities. Access to youth centres remains free of charge, with many organised activities offered at minimal or no cost to participants.

Kerrie Potter, Youth Work Lead, commented: “With support from local businesses, we can keep these services accessible to all. Sponsoring the Friday Night Project isn’t just about funding activities – it’s about creating a brighter, safer future for our youth.”

Businesses interested in becoming a sponsor are encouraged to get in touch to explore partnership opportunities and discuss how they can help empower the next generation.
