Mayor's Press Releases

“As Town Mayor, I would like to extend my best wishes to all residents of Hailsham for a happy and peaceful Easter.

The Easter period provides an important opportunity to spend time with family and friends and it is also a time when many in our community come together – whether through local events, religious observance, or simply by enjoying the longer days and improving weather. I hope that all residents are able to take some time to rest and recharge over the long weekend.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank our essential workers who continue to serve the community throughout the Easter period. Their ongoing commitment ensures that vital services remain available, and their contribution is greatly appreciated.

Since taking office last May, I have met many individuals and organisations who are committed to making a positive difference in Hailsham. Their efforts are a credit to the town, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside them and to meeting more residents in the coming months.

As we move into the late spring and summer period, the Town Council will continue its work to support the community and deliver on its priorities. I look forward to building on the progress made so far and continuing to serve the residents of Hailsham.

I hope that the Easter break provides a valuable opportunity for rest and reflection, and that residents are able to make the most of the long weekend.

Please note that the Town Council reception and public enquiries desk in Market Street will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday 7th April.

Cllr Chris Bryant – Town Mayor & Chair, Hailsham Town Council
