Hailsham Town Council invites residents, community organisations and partner groups to stay informed about Council activities, updates and ongoing projects by following its official social media channels:
While the TikTok channel is in its early stages, the Council is inviting followers so the channel can develop into a regular video-based communication tool showcasing local projects, community initiatives and events.
Following our social media channels gives you timely access to news, event details and project updates, helping us stay connected with you and our community.
“We want to ensure the people of Hailsham are well informed about the work of the Town Council in a manner that meets them where they are. Our enhanced social media presence will help us reach more residents and strengthen how we listen to the community,” said John Harrison, Town Clerk.
Corporate Services Manager Emily Hastings commented: “Our new TikTok channel may be in its early days, but we are excited about the potential for short-form video to bring local projects, volunteer efforts and Council activities to life. We invite local groups and individuals to follow us now so that when we begin regular posting, the channel will already have an engaged audience.”
Councillor Anne Marie Ricketts, Chair of the Communities Committee said: “Social media is an increasingly important way for parish and town councils to communicate with residents, and we want our channels to reflect the vibrancy and community spirit of Hailsham. By providing updates in accessible, familiar formats, we hope to reach more people and ensure they feel informed and connected to the work we are doing on their behalf.”
“I encourage everyone to follow, share and engage with our posts so that together we can strengthen our connection with local people and celebrate the many positive things happening across our town.”
Follow us today and be part of the conversation shaping Hailsham’s future.
