A friendly club for anyone over the age of 55, supporting people with dementia and most disabilities. Hailsham Wellbeing Centre (Southdown)

The Hailsham Wellbeing Centre provides a range of community-based mental health and wellbeing support to enable you to get well, stay well and prevent crisis. The Centre is part of a network of mental health recovery support, called the East Sussex Community Network. Our team of friendly Recovery Workers will work with you to develop a personalised wellbeing plan and support you to access activities and groups at the Centres and in your local community. Making Memories Dementia Group

Unpaid carers who care for people with dementia are invited alongside the person they care for to attend this new support and activitiy group. The monthly ‘Making Memories’ group takes place on the fourth Wednesday of the month (2pm-4pm), facilitated by a Care Support Worker from Care For The Carers, a charity that supports unpaid carers across Sussex.

Provide a much needed local social service  for people who live alone or are carers. Registered and receiving help from the Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA), East Sussex 1Space, Action in Rural Sussex and ESCIS, Hailsham Friends holds regular meetings locally – there are no membership fees and meetings are relaxed and friendly, with no upper age limit.
