Senior Railcard Subsidy (Part Refund)

**IMPORTANT NOTICE** Hailsham Town Council will be withdrawing its service of refunding part of the cost of railcards which offer cut-price train travel for senior residents from 1st April 2016.

Residents of Hailsham who are of retirement age are entitled to claim a subsidy against their Senior Rail Card. Subsidy payments for valid Senior Railcards are capped to a maximum of £12 per person per annum (or actual cost if lower than £12).

dddAll you need to do is pay for your card at Polegate or Eastbourne Train Station and then bring it to the Town Council offices, Inglenook, Market Street, and we will issue you with a part-refund.

The Rail Card can be used as far away as Scotland and allows you a third off your train fare, if you are prepared to travel after 9am.
