Hailsham Town Council’s flagship youth centre, the Square Youth Café, will play host to a cardboard model town workshop next month, an event organised as part of this year’s Hailsham Festival of Arts & Culture.
At the MiniVille Workshop, children and young people will be able to construct their own interpretation of a miniature town or city from easy-to-cut cardboard and create an urban environment consisting of houses, roads, shops, monuments and more.
The workshop takes places at the Square Youth Café in Hailsham on Saturday 23rd September from 11am to 1pm. Entry is free and the workshop is suited for people aged 8-17 years. Completed constructions can be recorded on film at eye level.
Andy Joyes, youth project coordinator at Hailsham Town Council said: “Young people will be able to make their own miniature town from cardboard and designs can include houses, shops, museums, skyscrapers and more. The rest is up to your imagination!”
“Stop by the Square Youth Café on 23rd September to take part and have fun in the process.”
