Windsurfing with the Hailsham Friday Night Project

Hailsham Town Council’s youth services continue to go from strength to strength, providing a range of opportunities and activities for young people in Hailsham between the ages of 12-17.

A variety of unique and carefully planned activities for young people have been planned for the Friday Night Project in the coming months including windsurfing and sailing at Spray Water Sports Centre, as well as go-karting, dry slope skiing, water-slide, rock climbing and Laser Quest at Knockhatch Adventure Park.

The Friday Night Project, which is funded by The Safer Wealden Partnership and Hailsham Town Council, works in partnership with Targeted Youth Support and Hailsham Community College to create recreational activities for young people on Friday evenings, will also continue to be a feature in young people’s social events calendar this summer.

“The Friday Night Project gives young people an opportunity to experience the fun and challenge of different recreational activities, and I’m confident it will continue to be successful well into the future,” said Andy Joyes, Youth Project Coordinator at Hailsham Town Council.

“The Friday Night Project is a classic example of partnership in the community and I’d like to thank my colleagues at the Square Youth Café, Hailsham Community College, Targeted Youth Support and volunteers for all the hard work put into organising these outings. Thanks must also be extended to the Safer Wealden Partnership for their generous funding from the start.”
