Hailsham Town Council’s youth services continue to go grow, providing a range of opportunities and activities for young people in the town between the ages of 11-17.
A variety of activities for young people have been planned for the Friday Night Project from September through to early December including go-karting, giant pillows, Froggies soft-play and Cannon Arena at Knockhatch Adventure Park, as well as dry-slope skiing at Knockhatch Ski Centre, ten-pin bowling at Freedom Leisure Centre, trampoling at Urban Jump in Heathfield, the FNP Big Event at Knockhatch on Friday 1st September and a trip to Thorpe Park on Saturday 16th September.
The Friday Night Project, which is funded by the Safer Wealden Partnership and managed by Hailsham Town Council, works in partnership with Hailsham Community College to help create alternative recreational activities for young people on Friday evenings, will also continue to be a feature in young people’s social events calendar for the remainder of the year.
“The Friday Night Project gives young people an opportunity to experience challenges of different recreational activities and prevent boredom, and I’m confident it will continue to be successful well into the future,” said Andy Joyes, Youth Project Coordinator at Hailsham Town Council.
