Hailsham Town Council’s youth services continue to go grow, providing a range of opportunities and activities for young people in the town between the ages of 11-17.
A variety of activities for young people have been planned for the Friday Night Project from August through to the end of October including go-karting, giant pillows, Froggies soft-play and Cannon Arena at Knockhatch Adventure Park, as well as dry-slope skiing at Knockhatch Ski Centre, roller skating at MySkateWorld, ten-pin bowling at Freedom Leisure Centre, Segway Unleashed at Godstone and a trip to Thorpe Park on Saturday 15th October.
The Friday Night Project, which is funded by Hailsham Town Council and the Safer Wealden Partnership, works in partnership with Hailsham Community College and Targeted Youth Support to help create alternative recreational activities for young people on Friday evenings, will also continue to be a feature in young people’s social events calendar for the remainder of the summer and throughout the autumn.
“The Friday Night Project gives young people an opportunity to experience the fun and challenge of different recreational activities, and I’m confident it will continue to be successful well into the future,” said Andy Joyes, Youth Project Coordinator at Hailsham Town Council.
“The Friday Night Project is a classic example of partnership in the community and I’d like to thank my colleagues at the Square Youth Café, Hailsham Community College, Targeted Youth Support and volunteers for all the hard work put into organising these outings. Thanks must also be extended to the Safer Wealden Partnership for their generous funding from the start.”
