At the Annual General Meeting it was announced that there be the following Standing Committees:
- Finance, Budget & Resources
- Strategic Projects (merger of former Council Projects & Assets and Parks, Open Spaces & Sports Committees)
- Planning & Development
- Communities (merger of former Business Enterprise and Festivities & Events Committees)
Various representatives for local community groups and voluntary organisations were also selected at the meeting.
Town Clerk John Harrison said: “Our town councillors have an opportunity to help make a difference to the quality of life for all Hailsham residents, are interested in local issues and will be doing things for the good of the town.”
