The Mayor and Mayoress of Hailsham will be getting into the Christmas spirit when they join in the celebrations of the Hailsham Choral Society’s annual Christmas Carol Concert.
Councillor Nigel Coltman and Mrs Sandra Coltman will attend the popular event, which takes place at the Civic Community Hall in Vicarage Lane on Saturday 16th December from 7.30pm.
The concert which has the title ‘Come Travel for a Carol’ will feature carols and Christmas songs from around the world and there will be mulled wine and mince pies at the interval.
This year, the Society’s retiring collection will be in aid of Eastbourne RNLI and a representative of the charity will give a short introduction to their work.
Mayor Councillor Coltman encourages people to go along and enjoy the festive spirit: “The Christmas Carol Concert, always very popular, promises to be a very festive occasion for everyone and is the perfect way to start Christmas. There will be performances by some accomplished choristers and musicians, and the line-up is second to none and guaranteed to delight the entire family.”
“The Hailsham Choral Society has provided a fantastic service to the community over the years, and the Mayoress and I are delighted to be attending this special performance.”
Admission is priced at £10 per person (£5 for under 16s) (to include a glass of mulled wine and mince pie). Tickets are available from The Camera Centre in Hailsham and via wegottickets.com, subject to availability. They will also be available at the door.
Further information about the concert can be found via the Hailsham Choral Society website: www.hailshamchoral.org.
