The countdown is on to Hailsham’s Summer Market which takes place in the town centre on Saturday 29 August from 9.30am until 4pm.
The Town Council’s Communities Committee has been working hard in partnership with Hailsham Forward and organisers are confident that it will be a great family event offering something for everyone.
The Summer Market will feature stalls selling a wide range of fine food and gifts and there will also be a hog roast and a stall selling quality wines and beers.
The Hailsham & District Twinning Association will provide an information stall on the day for those who may be interested in its activities and historic Hailsham Parish Church will be open to welcome visitors. Hailsham Festival FM will be broadcasting live and making announcements throughout the day.
Councillor Amanda O’Rawe, Deputy Town Mayor and Chairman of the Town Council’s Communities Committee said: “The range of stalls and products offered at the forthcoming summer market is excellent and diverse, with high quality products from local and regional traders.”
“I look forward to visiting the market stalls and hope that as many people as possible will come along and take advantage of what they have to offer.”
Communities Committee Vice-Chairman Councillor Chriss Triandafyllou said: “Organising this special summer market has been hard work and time-consuming for all concerned, but the event is guaranteed to bring a summery atmosphere to our town.”
“The market is not only an opportunity to discover a wide range of goods for sale but it is also an amazing experience as people can enjoy the bustling atmosphere whether they be families, individual or couples old and young, or those passing through town for lunch.”
The Town Council has already started organising this year’s Hailsham Christmas Market which will take place in Vicarage Field on Saturday 5th December. Further details of this event will be announced later this year.
