Following the success of last year’s Christmas Market, Hailsham Town Council and project partner Hailsham Forward are making final preparations for this year’s event, which takes place in the town centre on Saturday 16th December from 9am to 4pm.
Vicarage Field will be home to a range of stalls selling fine food, Christmas gifts, decorations, cards, cakes, jewellery and many other items. Various festive refreshments will be on sale including to tempt visitors.
There will be festive entertainment throughout the day for all the family to enjoy, including carol singing from Hailsham Choral Society and Christchurch and a live music performance from El Banda Burros, as well as a seasonal repertoire by Wealden Brass at Hailsham Parish Church at 3pm.
There will also be face painting and Santa & his Sleigh (provided by Hailsham Rotary Club) will be attending the event.
Christmas music will be playing on a PA system, courtesy of Hailsham FM, and Hailsham Parish Church will hold its Open Church from 10am-12pm.
Deputy Town Mayor and Chairman of the Communities Committee Councillor Amanda O’Rawe said: “The Christmas Market will offer high quality products, gifts and decorations as well as festive refreshments, live entertainment and Santa & His Sleigh to help you get into the Christmas spirit.”
“I would encourage as many people as possible to come along and take advantage of what the event has to offer!”
