The Deputy Mayor of Hailsham will be getting into the summer spirit when he joins in the celebrations of the Hailsham Choral Society’s next concert, ‘Folk Songs & Fun Songs’, which will be held at the Hailsham Civic Community Hall in Vicarage Lane on Saturday 30th June from 7.30pm.

This particular concert includes popular folk songs from around the British Isles, songs from opera and an array of pop favourites.

The programme will be conducted by Josik Kotz and Barbara Edwards, with William Hancox as accompanist.

Deputy Town Mayor Councillor Grant De Jongh, delighted to be invited to attend the concert, said: “I’ve heard all manner of positive things about Hailsham Choral Society’s concerts, and the choir group has a tradition of selecting and recruiting first-rate choristers.”

“I am very grateful to the Society, their conductors and their accompanists too,  for staging such wonderful concerts and I look forward to a superb evening of entertainment for us all on 30th June.”

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £6 for under 18s. Tickets are available from The Camera Centre (53 Hailsham High Street), via www.wegottickets.com and on the door.
