Hailsham Town Council’s recreational youth services continue to be popular with the Friday Night Project, providing a range of opportunities and activities for young people in Hailsham between the ages of 12-17.
The Friday Night Project (FNP), which is funded by The Safer Wealden Partnership and Hailsham Town Council, works in partnership with Targeted Youth Support and Hailsham Community College to help create organised recreational activities for young people on Friday evenings.
A variety of carefully planned activities for young people have been planned for the FNP throughout the autumn and into the new year including dry-slope skiing, soft-play and ring-gos at Knockhatch Centre and ten-pin bowling at Freedom Leisure, as well as a trip to the Amex Community Stadium to watch a Brighton & Hove Albion football match in November.
Youth project coordinator Andy Joyes said many of the Friday Night Project’s activities are always keenly anticipated: “The FNP provides young people with the opportunity to take part in a diverse range of recreational activities, while having an appreciation for maintaining an active lifestyle.”
“All young people in Hailsham and surrounding areas aged 12 to 17 are welcome to attend outings organised for the Friday Night Project.”
