The Square Youth Cafe project was established to improve the quality of life for young people from 11 to 18 years in the Market Town of Hailsham and the surrounding rural areas. It provides the generic youth work service of the 1, Market Square project, co-ordinated by Hailsham Town Council.
The Square aims to provide a service to young people in Hailsham that will allow them to develop their social, physical, emotional and political awareness. It also provides the opportunity for youth workers to support young people through the experience of social education, in their transition from childhood to adulthood.
The Square has a warm and friendly atmsophere, which allows youth workers and young people to experiment ways of receiving and delivering a dynamic service to the community. |
