Climbing activities at Knockhatch - Friday Night Project

Hailsham Town Council’s youth services continue to grow, providing a range of opportunities and activities for young people in Hailsham between the ages of 12-17.

A variety of fun activities for young people have been planned for the Friday Night Project in the coming months including kayaking, go-karting, climbing and Segway.

There will also be the chance for young people to participate in go-karting, Laser Quest and water-slide at Knockhatch Adventure Park.

The Friday Night Project, which is funded by Hailsham Town Council and the Safer Wealden Partnership, works with Hailsham Community College to help create alternative recreational activities for young people on Friday evenings, will also continue to be a feature in young people’s social events calendar this summer.

Andy Joyes, Youth Project Coordinator at Hailsham Town Council, said: “The Friday Night Project gives young people an opportunity to experience the fun and challenge of different recreational activities with the aim of reducing boredom and anti-social behavior, as well as raising self-esteem whilst showing young people in a favourable light. I’m confident it will continue to be successful well into the future.”
