"On transferring from Strathclyde Police in 1986 I joined Sussex Police, returning to my native Sussex. I thrive on any challenge and hope to make a difference in Hailsham. I like to get to know the local community and want to support the local residents in the area I work. I want them to know I am approachable at any time if they have any issues."

"I joined Sussex Police as a police community support officer back in May 2004. My specific area of responsibility is towards the Town Farm area of Hailsham. I find this role very rewarding and varied, and it's great knowing you're putting something back into the community and that people feel safe and secure knowing you are about."

"When I was 16, I was a member of the Sussex Police volunteer cadets in my local area for 2 and a half years. All this was voluntary and I really enjoyed my time as a cadet so this is when I first realised I wanted to work within Sussex Police. The main aspect of the job which I am most looking forward to is working with the public on a face-to-face basis and making the community a safe environment to be in."

"Being a PCSO, I like to get involved with the public and develop the relationship between Sussex Police and the local communities. I have also taken up the role as a Wildlife Crime Officer, of which I have recieved training to enable me to deal with certain situations and also have contacts with the various agencies that work alongside us."
