"Hailsham is a vibrant and historic market town that has existed centuries before 1252, which was when Peter of Savoy was granted the rights of a market in Hailsham. A livestock market is held twice a week. On the second Saturday of each month, the Farmers' Market allows everyone the opportunity of purchasing locally grown food and crafts. |
Every Christmas, Hailsham’s streets are ablaze with festive lights, which cannot be compared with any other town in the area. The focal point of Hailsham is St Mary’s Church which has recently been floodlit by Hailsham Town Council in partnership with the Parochial Church Council. Our local Heritage Centre is open to the public and gives the history of Hailsham in great depth. |
After shopping, why not relax in one of Hailsham’s cafés, tea rooms or one of three local town centre pubs where you can find cuisines for all tastes. Hailsham is well worth a visit. |
