The Umbrella Body provides a service to all sectors both voluntary and commercial organisations in the local community and East Sussex. Only a registered body can access information from the Criminal Records Bureau.

So if you are an organisation or an individual thinking of applying for a CRB check, as a registered Umbrella Body, Hailsham Town Council can do this for you.

Hailsham Town Council is authorised to access information held by the Bureau to check the background of potential employees and volunteers, to enable employers and organisations to make safer recruitment decisions.

(Employed): Standard £31.00 per person (no VAT) / Enhanced £36.00 per person (no VAT)

(Voluntary): Standard - Free / Enhanced - Free

Please note, an administration fee of £25.00 (inclusive of VAT) is chargeable on both 'employed' and 'voluntary' CRB checks.
