::: E.A.V.S. is a Council for voluntary services that helps support, promote and develop the voluntary and community sector in both Eastbourne and Wealden. Since the closure of Wealden Federation of Voluntary Organisations in 2006, EAVS now provides a Wealden Community Support service for new and existing local groups across the district. EAVS operates a free membership scheme for voluntary and community groups.
The Wealden Community Support Officer, Karl Parks, can help local groups identify and access a wide range of funding sources, help complete funding applications and provide assistance with all aspects of organisational development, such as policies and procedures, constitutions and business plans, to make your group more effective.
One-to-one support sessions are available to all groups which provide an ideal opportunity to discuss individual needs in more detail. Karl can always visit at a time convenient to you, whether in the daytime or evening. Alternatively, groups are welcome to call into his office based at the Uckfield Volunteer and Information Centre.
